There are several ways you can reset your "check engine" light, however it is always best to have it done by a professional mechanic. If you have it read for you, you might be able to better figure out what caused the warning light to come on. However, if you must go at it alone - disconnect the battery for the car and keep it out for at least one minute. Then reconnect the battery as normal. No more "check engine" light...
